Die Vecna, Die
Well, after reading through the "Die Vena, Die", I just had to say WOW!!!
This is one extreme adventure involving Iuz, Vecna, Greyhawk, Ravenloft, and finally Sigil...
It is really a nice adventure with lots involved but there is one thing missing. In the end Vecna becomes a Greater God. But they never go into detail on his priesthoods. This is a really big bummer because I was actually looking forward to placing an NPC in the role of his worshipers but there are not enough specifics to get his specialty priests complete.
So on to the Main Question.. Has anyone created specialty priests for Vecna? and if so what do they look like for your campaign world? Vecna is the god of evil, Knowledge, and Magic.

I'd use parts of Mystra, Oghma, and Bane.

I missed that adventure, but I may wind up killing a few characters there yet.
Yes, those gods sound alright to use. But remember, (I think) Vecna was Lawful Evil or Neutral, not chaotic..so that is likely to come upon his servants as well. Make an ethos and duty srrounding the god's existance: the hand, eye, imprisonment, magic..secrets etc. It sounds a lot like that clergy is more focused on magic and knowledge than on Evil. I would just make them unscrupulous collectors/users of magic as well as would-be sages and such.

hmm
i have not read die vecna die might be a good read, but i do own vecna reborn.
and vecna does have a Church
The priests and priestesses are refered to as thoughts and memories,
the high priest is called the voice of vecna and the high priestess is called the heart of vecna
the warriors of vecna are called the fingers of vecna
but vecna favors undead servants above the liveing.
the liveing are at the bottom of his list of trust.
for example two of his favorite Lieutenant are golems called the Hand and the Eye. The hand is composed from the arms of theives assassins and charlatans, the eye is composed of entirely of the eyes of murderers, liars and traitors.
below them is the church which has undead beings in it as well. only the voice and heart have any sway over his favored( the undead that make up the majority of cavitius) and even they fall under the reavers ( undead)
as far as specialty priests i am not sure he would have a specialty priest.
most of his priests would go to like lev 5 or 6 preist then dual over to wizard, so if i wanted to make a spec priest i work along those lines.
one quick question is die vecna die 3ed?

It is for 2E but it was made during the crossover from 2E to 3E.. you can see some things that happened in 3E show up in the end of the book.
It looks like a really cool adventure though. I have yet to send my players on the quest.
