This was my first forum!
I found this site and radio broadcast many years ago and was an avid listener. It is surprising to still see it around at all. I wish the radio show would start back up, as far as I can tell you were the first before all the other gaming podcasts got started. Wish I could here you all again.

Nice thadrine. It's good to see that you're still around. I agree too, I would like to catch a new show as well.
It was kinda cool to see how the old guest books and message boards morphed into forums with info saving DBs and cookies. This was one of my first modern(ish) forums as well.

what i find to be cool is that even though it is mostly on cruise control, it still is keeping a momentum of use

Hopping on the "wow, this is still here?" bandwagon. I joined back in 2002; was amazed to see that:
a) my username / password still worked.
b) I remembered it in the first place.
Hello again, everyone!

It seems I joined my sophomore year of high school in 2003, and I didn't manage to play on any sort of regular basis until college, where I seized control of the games club, and now should have 3 semiregular campaigns, plus the odd living game. Its started being hard to keep track of the rules differences between 3.5, 4, Star Wars saga, Spycraft, and Fantasy Craft. Not to mention other systems for one offs. I really wish I had been more active in high school, Gen Con Indy was within easy striking distance.

Other than Mutants and Masterminds I will not touch a d20 system anymore. It is a good system but there are others that do what it does so much better, and with better narrative control.
Like:
Burning Wheel
Houses of the Blooded
Savage Worlds
7th Sea
Dogs in the Vineyard!!!

Is there some kind of half-year limit to this thread necromancy thing?

I haven't checked in here for quite a while myself, I've been busy playing WoW. Not really as good as AD&D, but nobody seems to play that anymore. My husband still plays D&D sort of, they have switched to the Pathfinder (mostly 3.5E rules) system. He's still kind of surprised at himself, having been a loyal customer of TSR/WotC forever, but 4E just is not in any way the old D&D he grew up with. (IMO, neither is 3E, but he likes it )
I don't play with his group, he told me up front that they are power gamers and rules lawyers, I know I'd hate gaming with them. So WoW is what I do now until I can find a real game. (did take some time to play Dragon Age: Origins, REALLY good game for a computer game, but it ends too fast )
