Is WOTC really doing this??
This Character Optimization Board is presented by WOTC with one reason only: how to get the best out of the stats of a character. :smash Made me a little sad though. Ever seen something like that for earlier editions?

There has been a good bit of edition bashing, albeit covert, going on recently. Small comments here and there add up to paint an overall picture of a not-so-friendly attitude. Thank goodness that later-edition-lovers like Doomguide (in another thread in OOP) bother to come down here to explain their perspective without taking umbrage to what otherwise could be construed as a beating. I'm reminding everyone that Mortality has a place for everything, regardless of edition and regardless of style of play. To this end, we have a min/max forum...a renaming of WotC's "Character Optimization" forum. To each his own. Perhaps the Original D&D/1e/2e board on Mortality would be better served by discussing out of print gaming, rather than lamenting and complaining about how those who play later editions care to spend their time.;)

Thread closed. And perhaps such topics more rightfully belong in Mortality's Rants section to begin with, if they're to be posted at all.
