Is WOTC really doing this??
This Character Optimization Board is presented by WOTC with one reason only: how to get the best out of the stats of a character. Made me a little sad though. Ever seen something like that for earlier editions?

There has been a good bit of edition bashing, albeit covert, going on recently. Small comments here and there add up to paint an overall picture of a not-so-friendly attitude. Thank goodness that later-edition-lovers like Doomguide (in another thread in OOP) bother to come down here to explain their perspective without taking umbrage to what otherwise could be construed as a beating. I'm reminding everyone that Mortality has a place for everything, regardless of edition and regardless of style of play. To this end, we have a min/max forum...a renaming of WotC's "Character Optimization" forum. To each his own. Perhaps the Original D&D/1e/2e board on Mortality would be better served by discussing out of print gaming, rather than lamenting and complaining about how those who play later editions care to spend their time.
Thread closed. And perhaps such topics more rightfully belong in Mortality's Rants section to begin with, if they're to be posted at all.
